  1. I was interviewed by Corazon Jibrin. She's all smiles which I think helped me big time to relax a bit, but to tell you the truth, I was shaking in my shoes.

Here are the questions I can still clearly remember:

    1. Are you a nurse? (I answered with a few lines. Then she followed up with a question If I have plans of studying/working abroad. I told her that it is the very reason why I'm taking the IELTS exam to proceed with my school application in Australia. And she said, "Australia? That's a great country to study. You are still young so you will definitely learn a lot there (then gave me a big grin)." I think ganahan gyud siya sa thought nga mag sigeg eskwela. hahahaha
    2. Tell me about your hometown.
    3. What is the significance of flowers in your hometown?
    4. Tell me about a drawing you created when you were still young.
    5. Do you think that art is important to children?
    6. How about in adults?

    Part 2

    1. Tell me about a person whom you think is adventurous.
(Then I answered this and that. Basta my answer was all about my uncle who loves to travel)

    Part 3

    Murag diri nako nakulbaan.

    1. Tell me other activities you consider as adventurous. Traveling is not one of them.
(I'm in awe when she told that traveling is not one of them, unsa pasabot ani Sir Rob? Wala xa ganahi sa akong tubag sa part 2 about traveling?
    2. When do you think children can gain independence?
    3. Do you think it's too much for them to be independent? ( Then I included an answer with reagard to family)
    4. Her last question was, "So do you think you are a typical Filipino woman or an exception?"

I believe I gave answers which were totally irrelevant.I can say that I showed confidence in delivering my answers but making sense is more important I guess. I wish I could have done better :-( I will now begin my novena. :-)

Thank you Sir Rob for all the guide questions, naa ra gyud ang uban didto.

Good luck to those who are scheduled to take the speaking test tomorrow. Read the compilations, guys! :)

Remember: "Luck favors the prepared mind"

I do hope (with fingers crossed tightly) that I get the desired score.

NOTE: If Tisha is your interviewer, the door is already open. Just wait for her to call you. Follow her instructions. In my case, she asked me NOT to "close the door" upon leaving.

Some interviwees are "nervous wreck" stay away from them. Do the yawning and breathing exercises. (makawala jud siya ug kulba, promise!)

Thanks TSAA staffers. Especially to Sir Rob for the final inputs you gave in speaking. I'm also thankful to be interviewed by Sir Danni on the final interview, because I was able to practice how to respond to follow-up questions. =)

  11. Hello everyone!

I think my interview went fine. My interviewer was Ms. Tisha, and I was interviewed almost an hour earlier than what was scheduled.

Part 1 didn't take that long. She only asked my full name and if I am working or still a student. I told her that I am working as a virtual assistant and she asked me to tell me more about my job because it's somehow new to her.

It was also a smooth sailing part 2. Questions:
-Talk about a gift you bought. What was the gift, to whom did you give the gift, what do you think was the impression of the person who received the gift.

Part 3 was extensive, pero same topic, gifts. Questions:
    -Do you like giving gifts?
-Is giving gifts common in your hometown?
-What can you say about giving cash as gifts?
-What are the instances that make it difficult to choose a gift?
    -Should gifts be expensive?

Mejo maka ilang kay grabe sya makatan-aw, not in a bad way man, she was even all smiles during the entire duration of the interview. Hehe.

    Thanks TSAA!
