Hello friends!
ReplyDeleteMy interviewer was Ms. R. Torrefranco or something that sounds like that. She extends courtesy by opening the door for you and greeting you warmly. But when the interview starts, she speaks eloquently and with impeccable enunciation ang grammar. you would guess she is someone out of CNN or better. Then you star to feel the chill running down your spine. She holds back facial expressions which makes it hard to determine if she appreciates or disapproves of your thoughts. But in the end, she will make you feel that she is pleasant and willing to back you up with additional questions to help you expound your ideas.

ReplyDeleteINTERVIEWER: R.Torrecampo
ReplyDelete-I was interviewed ahead of my scheduled time, it was an hour earlier because of one candidate who wasn't there and Ms.T interviewed the candidate faster than the other interviewers..I think..
-Since there should be one candidate who is ahead of me who wasn't there Ms. T recorder the wrong name..so she had to erase it but unfortunately the recorder is giving her a hard time..she got pissed off and want to throw the recorder.. lol..Plus she got a cough..i think...her voice is a lil coarse..she often drinks water..
- She asked me what name do i prefer to be called.. As if i got 2 names..lol.. maybe she is asking if by surname of first name..hehehe..
- Despite of having a cough, her voice is still well modulated.. Nice pronunciation and diction.. Intimidating for me!
- She nods as the candidate answers (like sir dan..hehehe).. She seldom smiles..
MY QUESTIONS:
1) Do you work or study?
2) Describe your work.
3) What kind of books do you read?

TASK 2:
Where do you often visit, a park or a garden on most of your time?
-What is the name of the park/garden?
-Where can you see it?
-What can you see there?
-Why do you like to go there?

ReplyDeleteFinally I finished my interview this morning! I was the only one from TSAA :(
ReplyDeleteInterviewer: Mr. Stewart - opens the door for you..so you have to wait for him and not open the door yourself..lol.. i felt like knocking on the door myself since it took a while before he called me.. don't forget to bring your ID inside the room! I forgot mine in my bag just outside the room, luckily he allowed me to get it or else the interview cannot proceed..whew! he smiles as you answer the questions..takes time in looking for some questions to be asked, makes me feel uneasy sometimes since i do not know if i should say something while he browses through his compilation or just keep quiet..lol..:D anyway, here are the questions that i remembered:
part 1:
1. do you work or are you a student?
2. if you are not working in you current profession now, what job would you love to do?

Yes, good luck to all of us and really thanks to TSAA. Indeed they have equipped us for the battle... God bless!
ReplyDeletehi guys, i was interviewd this morning by ms. torrefranca or torrefranco? She maybe had a good night sleep since she was sooo kind and accommodating. She even paraphrased some questions if my answers were not enough. Anyway, I learned that more than preparing in answering the questions, a calm mind and soul is very important to hurdle the situation.
ReplyDeleteThe questions asked to me were the following:
1.Do you live in a house or in an apartment?
2. What are the good qualities of your house?
3. Do you know your neighbors NEXT DOOR?
4. Have far do you know them? How frequent do you see each other?
Part 2. Describe the person that you have been living with for a time already.Who?What things you do together?
Long discourse:
1.Who are the persons you have lived with (aside from your family?)
2. Do you prefer to go with people of the same or opposite sex? Why?
3. Do younger people have difficulty dealing with older people at home?
I'm quite relieved since the questions were easy. Thank you tsaa for all the assistance. The questions really came out!
Basta, relax lng jud mo ha?Giamiga nko cya, nangatawa pa mi while sharing our experiences in raising our kids. Our children have same ages,
Cge, goodluck and god bless us all!i'm praying for my reading exam results....
Interviewer: Ms. Torrecampo
ReplyDeleteOpens the door for the interviewee, very accommodating and polite, nod and smiles after each answer of the student.
Q's: Are you working or studying:
> do you like your work?
> what are the trainings you have undergone for you to prepare for your job?
Part 2: Talk about a popular event that you have attended to, what, where, who were involved and what makes it popular.
>is Davao City a crowded place like any other city?
>what is the relationship between supply and demand?
> In such events as Kadayawan, what are the reasons why people flock on the street?
> a rough estimate of the total population that participate in the festival?
Whew!! There was a ton of questions written on her book.. Tnx TSAA for the comprehensive review..
Hoping for the best results.. =)
Thanks to all the TSAA staffs esp.to Sir Robert & Sir Danni, the review was really amazing, the actual interview questions become easier after we have undergone the series of practice. Nonetheless, Oh yes! the listening part, though the conversation was not that fast, the sound system really didn't sympathize. So I just guess the answer. Well, will pray for that...
ReplyDeleteI will surely miss the review, I like it every time I felt insecure while Sir Danni is having the lecture, the modulation of his voice, the well-organized concept of every writing topic -that would make me think, where did he get these data? Why didn't I arrive to the same idea! It seems that he knows all of the academic article on Earth. Moreover, I love the eloquence of Sir Robert, his style of teaching, his sense of humor, sometimes he was a threat he he..whenever he asked me to stand and provide the synonym of the given adjective- I suddenly got amnesia haha.... Well, thanks for everything to all. God bless.
I will recommend TSAA to my friends.
Olah....
ReplyDeleteI just had my interview this morning.. All I can say is, God is so good. He made everything perfect for me.
Mr. Stuart was my interviewer, yeah, he opened the door for me and said " Don't get nervous, I won't bite" with a smile.. hahaha.... Still, I was shaking and thought that I would faint in front of Mr. Stuart, but his aura and his smile made me feel so relaxed.
Anyway, as far as I can remember, Mr. Stuart asked me questions about....
being famous
A famous person that you want to meet.
How to become famous
A place in your city that you usually visit
God bless to all candidates...
Interviewer:Ms.Torrecampo
ReplyDeleteopens the door,accommodating..looks so serious.. smile sometimes.says...ahaaa..

Andaming tanong,may gulay!
Geee...I just wish us all, all the luck.
Just got home from my interview…eto ang feedback ko about the experience…^^
ReplyDeleteI was scheduled at 1.10pm pero I arrived at the hotel an hour earlier. Since they were still having their lunch, inantay antay pa namin sila. The business centre opened at exactly 1pm. While waiting for our interviewers to arrive, we were told to sign something. Dumating si Ms. Torrecampo and si Mr. Williamson and they both went to their respective rooms. Kaso lang nagkaproblem si Ms. Torrecampo with something inside the room. So, ayun. She stayed outside with us and talked to us. She was talking about the news – sobrang madada sya and she's really friendly sa amin kaya nawala na ang kaba namin ng kasama ko. She even asked kung kami ba daw ang mga unang candidates nila. Pero of course, she's talking english ha? kaya medyo na warm up na kami!^^
After awhile, Mr. Williamson opened the camiguin door and joked “who is my next victim?” I stood up and smiled and he said sorry and explained that he was just joking. Kaya ayun, di na talaga ako kinabahan!^^
Interviewer: Mr. Stewart Williamson (not sure of the spelling! peace!^^)
Description: tall, caucasian, not wearing eyeglasses, opens and closes the door for you, always smiling, joker, handsome (or naging handsome lang sya kasi sobra makasmile?), nagrereact sa mga answer na binibigay mo (facial expressions galore!haha)
Part I:
- State your full name
- Tell me about your city
- What part of the country did you grow up? Describe it.
- What is good about your city?
- Topic: cooking (di ko na maalala ang exact question pero dalawang questions ang binigay sa akin about cooking. Yung isa is parang nagluluto ba daw ako before and sino nagturo sa akin magluto. The next question is parang nagluluto ba ako ngayon at bakit. Yun ang point pero I can’t remember na talaga the details.)
Part II: Talk about a family (not your own) you like spending your time with? Who? Why? What interesting things you do together? (THANKS MA’AM LEAH! Ito po yung part II nyo nung ininterview nyo po ako and you corrected me about how I go about my part two. And you gave me an example on how I can deliver it! Grabe! I was thinking about what you said while I was writing my notes about this! Thank you po!^^)
Part III:
-How often do you visit them? (pertaining to the family I mentioned in part II)
-What are the things that the young and old people can do together?
-Who takes care of the old in the Philippines?
-Is there a possibility in the NEAR FUTURE that old people will be placed in home care facilities? (Medyo mahaba haba yung pagdescribe nya dito, ang point nya is..di ang family ang mag-aalaga ng mga matatanda in the future)
-Who will take care of the financial needs of these old people?
-Do old people receive pensions from the government? Is it enough? If not, who takes care of the other needs of these people?
There were more questions in part III that is just related to one another pero I can’t remember all of them anymore. Sorry!^^
After the interview, Mr. Williamson shook my hand. He said that it was a good interview, thank me and bid goodbye! Since I dropped my passport, I said thanks and got my passport!HAHAHAHA bloopers talaga!hahaha
May question ako sir rob: sa part II kasi po, I was about to start a new sentence but he gestured me to stop. Minus na po ba yun sa akin?huhuhuhu
Hi Icelle!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your very detailed feedback. Your account of your experience foretells nothing but a positive outcome.
Interviewers should be in control of the length of the interviews. They always have the freedom to stop an interviewee from talking if they deem it right. This just means that you have been very fluent and articulate in your interview.
Congratulations in advance!
Rob

ReplyDelete(interviewed in Pag-asa room located on the 2nd floor near the grand ballroom)
I actually got anxious soon after the interviewee preceding me came out with a rather distressed look, and constantly ranting on her lengthy interview. I even thought she would cry with exasperation, but she instead managed to smile as she felt relieved for finally getting over and done with the last exam. I was numb for awhile, no longer able to comprehend what I was feeling and what questions should I anticipate. The proctor informed me that the interviewer would customarily come out to usher the interviewer in, and so I waited, like forever…. --,
About a few minutes passed and she finally came out, smiling. I followed her in and closed the door behind me only to be somehow comforted by her humming and her relaxed attitude. I wasn’t quite sure if it had something to do with me being the last interviewee for the morning batch, and that she had more free time for lunch since she was way ahead her schedule. The interviewer started by setting the recorder on record mode, validating my identification and stating my personal details (like the information written on the small slip of paper placed on our tables during the written exams) as the last candidate from the morning group. She then introduced herself as Lara Mendoza and began by asking what name do I prefer to be called.
Overall, Ms. Mendoza, who wore a casual attire (which I think was helpful because you wouldn’t be intimidated by how she looked during the course of the interview ^^, ), somewhat exhibited confusing facial expressions. You’ll never be able to figure out whether she approves of your ideas or not and whether she understands you or is utterly baffled. She remains silent most of the time after stating each question, which is by the way taken from a clear book of compilations (not just a list or pre-prepared set of questions for the batch ^^, ). The interviewer speaks with a very clear and well-modulated voice. She’s also articulate, soft-spoken, attentive and allows you to finish talking except for task 2 where she would interrupt by declaring that the time is up and that she will be proceeding to her follow up questions. With a smile, Ms. Mendoza concluded the interview by saying that it was the end of the talk and that she hopes for you to have a nice day.
Part 1:
Tell me about your City and what you like most about it.
How can your City be improved?
What time of the City do you particularly enjoy?
How do you spend your free time?
How do you choose the color of your clothing? (After answering this question, she scanned me from head to foot and slightly smiled ^^,)
Part 2:
Talk about a subject in high school you found interesting. What was it? Who taught the subject? Why it was very interesting?
Part 3: (which she related to Part 2)
What influences the students in choosing the course they’re going to take in college?
What made you choose your course?
To Sir Robert, Sir Danni and the rest of the staff of TSAA, thank you for preparing us extensively for the exam. Undoubtedly, there is nothing like your institution driven to produce sure passers and topnotchers. God bless you and more power! =)
To the Tuesday batch of interviewees, it takes one tickle! Just remember the topics we had in our simulations and the dry run. Don’t cram or stress yourself. It will ruin your presence of mind and composure. Be confident! You can make it! Just to remind you of the important points, read the master guidelines written in our pink notes… ;-)
To my fellow candidates, CONGRATULATIONS in advance! Still, let us all be persistent with our prayers that everybody will achieve their respective target band scores. God bless us all! =]
To all of those who posted a comment, thank you very.
