hi sir rob! :) our interviews went well (bede and i).. but it was not what we expected :) the first time we took the IELTS, the speaking exam was not that difficult partly because most of the questions thrown at us were the ones that we got from our review..in addition, the interviwers during our first exam were upbeat and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteThis time though, most of our questions were new! I asked the person who registered us for the speaking exam and she told me that, aside from Ms.Donna Flint, a new interviewer awaited us in the other room. His name is Michael. I wasn't able to get his family name though! Sorry! hehe The following is my description of Mr. Michael --.
a. opens the door for you
b. a guy in his mid 30s (kind of) with shoulder-length, wavy, black hair and a pierce on his right ear accessorized with an earring
c. does not smile a lot but he makes an effort to keep you comfortable
d. with an American accent
Hope this helps! Will go to TSAA tomorrow to "pay it forward!!" Bede and I were asked different questions by the same interviewer!
THANKS HEAPS!!! THE REVIEW WAS GREAT!! LEARNED A LOT!! WILL CONTINUE TO RECOMMEND TSAA TO OTHERS WHO WILL BE TAKING THE IELTS!!
therese garcia-domingo
Thanks a lot Therese and Bede!

The interviewers name for room 1 (samal) is Michael *something*... An american, i would guess, because of his accent.
ReplyDeleteDescription:
- Laid Back
- Informal tone
- Seems tired and bored
- Has golden, wavy hair
- An earring on his right ear
- Wears casual clothes
- blunt affect
- gloomy ambience

Hi Sir Robert! I was interviewed by Michael Seuss (sounds like lang, hehe) although he did introduce himself.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes he did open the door for me and I was struck because he is handsome. Haha. But he seems uninterested and is even sending text messages while doing the interview. I was distracted by the room because it was hot. The aircon was turned off and I can see that he is tired. Majority of his questions were new to me. I was there at 6:30 and was interviewed by 7 pm. my original sked was supposed to be 7:40.
Thanks Haze!

Hi Sir Robert, yes, my interviewer was Michael too, he seems to be slouching so much, I cant blame his chair that goes into 50degrees angle but he was very accommodating. He sounds like more American than British.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I hope you received my text about the questions they asked me.
Hi Sir Robert.
ReplyDeleteI took the exam last Thursday and I found the listening part a little bit difficult. Hope I could pass it.
In my speaking, the interview was Donna Flint. As previously described, she opens the door for you, will greet you, and smiles & nods as you answer. She is grandmotherly, has white hair, wears eyeglasses and casual clothes. The questions asked from me were all new sets of questions except for a few, I guess 3 questions.
Well, I am just hoping for the best since I reviewed in your center... KUDOS SIR ROB! =)
sir robert,
ReplyDeletethe same questions that was thrown at me at our final interview drill last may 19 was the exact same questions i got during my actual speaking test! happy!
thank you sir robert and tsaa staff! :) Godbless!
sir robert,
ReplyDeleteI was interviewed by Mr. Michael Seuss (not sure of the spelling). The questions thrown to me during the first part of the speaking test were mostly from the speaking inputs i've got during the review. I have the same sentiments with phau. Even my first question was the exact same question you shared during the final review about studying or/and working(Hehehehe). The 2nd and 3rd parts of the speaking tests were new though. Thank's a lot for the inputs sir! Being able to confidently answer the first question never left me agape and struggling for things to say. More power to TSAA.
Thanks phau and jeric!

Thank you ma'am Jean for the questions. :-)

thanks sir robert,I was interviewed by michael seuss(not sure of the spelling) well anywei, the part1 and part 2 are mostly from your speaking inputs. Im very thankful and its a big help indeed. The task 3 were mostly new questions. will go back to tsaa to pay it back. :) God bless and more power.
ReplyDeletesir rob, nabigay ko na po kay mam sheena yung pnagawa niyo po s akin.. God bless and more power..
ReplyDeletehi sir robert! i was interviewed by michael too. all in all, he was quite the conversationalist, an daming follow up questions. He asked 1 main question (from what we tackled in the inputs) and continued with more questions based on the interviewee's answer. Calming din aura nya, he helped me chill out bago nag start ang interview. He kind of reminded me of sir danny in terms of the follow up questions, they're kind of alike in that aspect.:D
ReplyDeletebtw, most of my questions were tackled sa inputs natin. Mostly about technology and education together.
sa part 2: ung what was your favorite subject in school? what? why? etc. na question...
ReplyDeletesa part 1, just the questions about describing community, tpos uber dami na ng ff up questions nya dun...:D
hope that helped.:D grabeh ka useful ang review nko sa tsaa, i will definitely recommend it to other people planning to take ielts.:D
Thanks Charlotte, Tine and Kai!
ReplyDeleteRob
Its a miracle!! Nakapasa ko!!!waaaahhh
ReplyDeleteSIR ROB and SIR DANNI: Salamat po ng sobra2x..salamat po sa african proverb na"IT TAKES AN ENTIRE VILLAGE TO REAR A CHILD", i made used of it sa essay ko po, plus the "juggling 2 careers?"hahaha..i was bombarded with so many questions because of that...;-)
ReplyDeletePS: to ma'am leah, sir john and sir jeff ( my interviewers during my review)my deepest gratitude din poh for bringing out the best in me..hope i made you proud for the score that I got for my speaking test.
As a whole, to pay you back, i always promote/advertise TSAA to all nurses i knew who want to take IELTS..SALAMAT PO!
Hi Crocin!
ReplyDeleteWe truly are very proud of you. Keep up the good work. More accomplishments to come your way. ;-)
